Hi, I have created over 1,000 children’s books for self published authors over the past 25 years. During that time I learned a lot about composition, style, printing process, marketing, distribution and most importantly, how children interacted with the stories.
I have a box of papers full of ideas for future stories. There are good morals to be found everywhere, but It seems like there is a lot of disagreement and frustration these days. Each story has a simple moral that can help a child handle difficult situations later in life.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” ~ F Barnard
With so much discourse and words that everyone seems to interpret differently, I have decided to use words very sparingly; in most books none at all. I have spent my career putting words to art and trying to blend them together but to me it seems to cause a bit of a disconnect keeping the reader from being fully submerged. Other barriers like not being able to read English or understand certain words can also disrupt the flow of a book. Some of my future books may have words (I don’t want to limit some of the ideas I have) but I will always use them as little as possible.
